The Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra, Ghana, his Excellency Fuchsova Margita has disclosed plans by his government to open diplomatic consular services in Sierra Leone. Ambassador Margita made this disclosure during a courtesy visit of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic on the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation, Hon. Alhaji Kanja Sesay at the Minister’s Conference Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, OAU drive, Tower Hill, Freetown.
Sierra Leone’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, Hon. Dr. Alie Kabba had called on the Government of Belgium to establish a full diplomatic mission with consular services in Sierra Leone. Dr. Kabba made this plea at his tower Hill office in Freetown, on Wednesday, 20th March, 2019 during a farewell courtesy call by the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Liberia, His Excellency Hugues Chantry.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Alie Kabba on Monday 18th March, 2019 informed Investors from Egypt that the new government under the ‘New Direction’ Leadership of His Excellency President Rtd Brigadier Julius Maada Bio is focused on moving Sierra Leone away from dependency on foreign aid to development. The Government of the Republic of Ireland on Monday 18th March, 2019 committed to invest over 50M Euros in Sierra Leone. This was disclosed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Alie Kabba at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of the Republic of Ireland and the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone, with reference to the Embassy of Ireland’s Mission Strategy 2019-2023 and Sierra Leone National Development Plan 2019-2023 at the Minister’s Conference Hall, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Tower Hill, Freetown.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Alie Kabba told Diplomats and other dignitaries that the government of President Dr Julius Maada Bio is strongly committed to advancing gender equality, including the empowerment and protection of women and girls.
