Chief Minister sworn in as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

The Chief Minister, Professor David Francis has today been assigned by His Excellency, Dr. Jullius Maada Bio, to act as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the absence of the substantive Minister Dr. Alie Kabba and his Deputy Mrs. Nimatulia Bah-Chang who are currently abroad on various official functions.

Professor David Francis in his remarks during a snap meeting with the senior management staff of the Ministry expressed delight for his appointment to act as the Foreign Minister to oversee the day to day operations and to support the delivery process in the Ministry, and highlighted his experience with the Ministry during his tenure as Chair of the Transition Team and as Foreign Minister designate during the just concluded EU summit.

‘I believe in action, professionalism, quality delivery, transparency, and timeliness to enhance economic diplomacy which is the object of the Ministry under the New Direction, and I believe in enabling people to achieve this objectives’, he concluded.

The Chief Minister was welcomed to the Ministry by the Acting Director General, Mr. Alhassan Karamoh Kondeh.

Present were: the Deputy Director General for Policy and Technical Cooperation; the Assistant Deputy Director General for Policy and Technical Cooperation; Directors and officers of the various divisions in the Ministry.
