His Excellency, Dr. Julius Maada Bio will officially launch the opening ceremony for the induction of over 37 newly appointed High Commissioners, Ambassadors and Financial Attachés on Thursday 23 August 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s conference Hall, Tower Hill, Freetown.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Alie Kabba, the induction of the newly appointed High Commissioners, Ambassadors and Financial Attachés is in line with the New Direction’s Foreign Policy strategy to enhance Economic Diplomacy and fulfil His Excellency’s promise to this nation to promote career diplomats. This training, Dr. Kabba furthered, will instill in our diplomats and government officials the President’s vision of our foreign policy objective that de-emphasises aid dependence to one in favour of promoting favourable trade and cooperation. “I am optimistic that after this induction our newly appointed High Commissioners, Ambassadors and Financial Attachés will comfortably enhance trade and development in their respective overseas missions”, Dr. Kabba Concluded.

The Vice President, Government Ministers and Heads of MDAs, Members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, the Press and other distinguished guests have consented to grace this memorable event.
